Gastrock Hiking Staff makes hiking easier on your knees, feet and back, and handles a variety of terrain. I first encountered the Gastrock Staff on an eco walking tour of the Costa Rican rain forests. A Swiss member of our group had a Gastrock Staff, swearing by the balance, traction and stability he found with it. He maintained that a good staff reduces up to 25% of body weight from the knees, feet and lower back, and that he got better breathing efficiency. Our Gastrock Staff will handle a variety of terrain with its removable rubber foot. Inlaid top compass saves the day in unfamiliar country. Heavy secure leather strap. About 50 inches in length.
